Intro to Throwing Clay: The Miniature Vase Workshop

$60.00

Ages 12+ (children must be accompanied by an adult)

Have you always been a little curious about how to throw clay on a pottery wheel? Or maybe you don’t have time to commit to a full pottery class? You’ve come to the right place. We can assure you by the end of this miniature workshop, you’ll have the basics down as well as a handful of cute miniature vases to liven up your summer windowsill!

Ceramicist Eric Potter is joining us in the studio, to teach us how to throw mini pots! Especially for those who might feel intimidated by the art of throwing clay, Eric’s small pottery wheels are the perfect first foray into learning how to shape a variety of small urns, pots, and vases on a wheel. He assures us anyone can do it, and it’s much easier than working on a larger scale. No prior experience necessary.

We’ll use real pottery clay to make small pots that will be glazed in a color of your choice, fired, and returned for you to keep. The workshop is two hours and all clay, wheels, and tools will be provided for everyone.

Craft with friends! If you and your friends sign up, tell us your friends’ names and use the code CraftNight at checkout to each receive $5 off.
