This makerspace class is specially designed for our youngest creators, a first step into building and making with different materials and techniques. Each week, students will have the chance to create a work of art using a different skill — acrylic pours, plaster casting, wood sculpture, weaving, and more. Each material offers children a different sensory and creating experience, allowing children to instinctively study and understand each material's properties and strengths. Through this creative work, children build an understanding of the material world around them and are prepared for more challenging building and making techniques in the future.
This class runs for 5 sessions.
Fridays, 10:15am-11:45am

Each week, we will explore different materials and different ways to make robots move. Children will have free range to create their ultimate vision, with access to our acryclic paints, gems, pipecleaners and more! Each material offers children a different sensory experience, allowing children to instinctively study and classify each material and its properties such as weight, texture and balance.
