Backyard Habitat: Woodworking, Gardening, and Saving Vermont's Endangered Wildlife and Insects Through Creativity!
for grades K-5
This is the class for kids who love being outdoors and building, all while doing good things for our local wildlife, bees, and butterflies.
In this class, children will work on a variety of projects that help endangered animals and insects. Children will build bat houses and planter boxes to establish in their backyards, and we will also start and grow beneficial wildlife plants from seed, which children will be able to plant in their boxes at the end of the session. Children will also get to work together to design and build a very special Wilder Arts community garden made from native plants, that will be open to all members of our community, animals and humans alike.
This class will run for 15 weeks. Drop off at the studio is between 3-3:30pm. We will have a walking school bus from Union Elementary School.
Wednesdays, March 5, 2025 to June 18, 2025 (No class on Apr 23rd.)
