Something’s cooking up in Wilder Arts Studio, and it promises to be VERY sweet.

Welcome to the Montpelier Candy Kitchen, where every week we will be boiling, dipping, molding, and crystallizing lollipops and chocolates and gummies and more! Even better, we’ll learn exactly what chemical reactions are taking place, on a molecular level, to make these sugary confections come to life. Every week, children will go home with a fresh batch of candy to share with friends and family.

This class is named after the historic Montpelier Candy Kitchen, which was located in downtown Montpelier in the early 1900s. This class will also explore and recreate nostalgic treats that children in the turn of the century would have enjoyed in Montpelier (in addition to our more modern beloved treats!)

This is a 9 week class. We will provide a walking school bus from Union Elementary School.
